Privacy Policy
Last updated October 30, 2026
The short version: Even has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your to-dos live on your device and in your own iCloud account. The developer of Even cannot see them and never receives them.
What Even stores, and where
Even stores only what you put into it, on your device:
- To-dos, projects, spaces, headings and tags, with their notes, checklists, dates, deadlines, reminders and repeat settings
- Attachments you add, such as photos and files
- Your settings, such as look, background colour and list preferences
None of this is sent to the developer or to any third party.
iCloud sync and sharing
If iCloud is on for your device, Even syncs your data through Apple's CloudKit to your private iCloud database, so it appears on your other devices. Apple handles this storage under Apple's Privacy Policy. The developer has no access to your private iCloud data.
If you share a project or space with someone, its contents are stored in iCloud and shown to the people you invite. You can stop sharing at any time from that project or space's menu.
Permissions Even may ask for
Each one is optional and only asked for when you turn on the feature that needs it.
| Permission | Used for |
|---|---|
| Calendars | Showing your events on the Calendar page and, if you choose, on Today |
| Reminders | Sync to Calendar: adding dated to-dos to a Reminders list called Even, and checking them off when you do |
| Notifications | Reminders you set on to-dos, scheduled on your device |
| Photos, camera and files | Attaching pictures or files to a to-do |
Events and reminders are read on your device and are not sent anywhere. You can change any permission in the Settings app.
Apple Intelligence features
Quick capture and Brain Dump read what you type to pick out dates, times, projects and tags. On supported iPhones this uses Apple's on-device model, so your text is processed entirely on your device and is not sent to Apple, the developer or anyone else. On other devices Even uses simple pattern matching, also on your device.
Importing from Things
If you import from Things, Even reads the Things database file you choose, on your device, and copies your to-dos into Even. The file is only read, never changed or uploaded.
What we don't do
- No sign-up or account with the developer
- No advertising, analytics, crash-reporting services or tracking across apps and websites
- No selling or sharing of your data with anyone
This website
even.day doesn't use cookies, analytics or trackers. Its text is set in Figtree, loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives the standard request details (like your IP address) needed to deliver the font.
Children
Even is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Deleting your data
Delete to-dos in the app, or use Settings → Data → Erase All To-Dos. Deleting the app removes data on that device; data in iCloud can be removed in your device's Settings → [your name] → iCloud.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
